Animation and Culture Commission

Entertainment and culture are two important aspects for many students at UCL. In order to help you see more clearly in the abundance of existing opportunities, you can find on this page a small map of the situation.

The animation consists of 4 pillars, both very different and complementary, these make it possible to approach university life from a different angle than that proposed within the courses. Simple life course, or sharing of incomparable experience, each of the structures that will be presented to you below will offer you a unique insight into the university world! The contribution is important: in addition to the friends you can meet there and the moments you can enjoy there, you will also have the opportunity to develop important skills for your future career or your future personal investments.

The 4 main movements - AGL, Fédé, GCL and the Organe - meet to coordinate on important subjects (reusable cups, strategic plan on alcohol, new entertainment rooms, etc.). This union makes it possible to best represent the different backgrounds – which obviously overlap extensively – with UCL authorities.

Culture is also important to the LGA, which actively participates in many projects supported and led by UCL.

AGL

The AGL, which you now know, handles more institutionalized relations with UCL. It therefore offers an effective relay for substantive work on many files. It also supports Animation through socio-cultural subsidies and logistical support for various "non-affiliated" movements (halls, meeting rooms, legal address, rental of auditoriums, various tools, etc.).

GCL

The Groupement des Cercles Louvaniste, for its part, brings together 12 faculty circles which engage daily in student activities. Places of meeting and information, the circles also organize activities in connection with their faculty, such as reviews for example, well-known student cabarets.

Fédé'

The Fédération Wallone des Régionales de l'UCLouvain brings together all the UCL's regionals, i.e. 16 teams working together on cultural projects from all over Belgium.

Organe

L'Organe, the Kots-à-Projet collective, brings together around 80 Kap's. The activities of these Kap's are many and varied: sports, events, cultural, social, musical, scientific and even radio... are just some of the areas covered by the Kots-à-Projet!
