File a complaint against an AGL member
You can lodge a complaint against an LGA member, whether or not you are a member. This may be a member of the committee, an advisor or a person mandated by the LGA. Sanctions can range from a simple warning to exclusion from the AGL. Conservatory measures may also be taken during the proceedings. You can find out how the process works in the LGA charter.
It is important to note that anonymity is preserved throughout the procedure, and even during the final vote, for both the person filing the complaint and the respondent.
Composition of the advisory body
The advisory body is the commission that gathers the various testimonies, and also listens to the defendant. After listening to each of the testimonies, it will issue its conclusions, which will be forwarded to the AGL Council for a decision.
The advisory body is made up of the AGL's permanent legal advisor, a member of the AGL Council Presidency and two trusted advisors elected by the AGL Council for a four-month term.
